Commercial Data Analyst - 6 month FTC

About the Role

We are seeking a results-driven Commercial Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will translate complex data into actionable business insights that drive revenue growth and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with business acumen and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

· Analyse sales, market, and customer data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for revenue growth.

· Create and maintain dashboards and reports that track key business metrics and KPIs.

· Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to deliver data-driven insights that inform commercial strategy.

· Develop forecasting models to predict future business performance and market trends.

· Evaluate the effectiveness of commercial initiatives and recommend improvements.

· Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

· 2+ years of experience in a data analysis role with commercial/business focus.

· Strong proficiency with common data analysis tools, with a specific focus on Power BI, SQL, Databricks and Azure data platform.

· Experience working with large datasets and developing meaningful business insights.

· Ability to translate commercial and operational requests for insight from non-experts into actionable analysis.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear, compelling manner.

· Excellent problem-solving abilities and commercial awareness.

· Practical experience of strong data governance and compliance practices.

· Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence business decisions

Preferred Experience.

· Experience in the B2B retail, subscription or services businesses - ideally experience in businesses with large field-force based operations.

· Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R) for data manipulation and analysis.

· Understanding of emerging technologies, including automation, ML and AI to facilitate data analytics.

· Experience with advanced analytics techniques (predictive modelling, segmentation).
