The Team
You would be joining a highly ranked Technology Transactions and Sourcing team, which sits within the wider corporate group and is consistently recognised in global Legal 500 and Chambers rankings. Part of the firm's global Technology Transactions and Sourcing platform of 100+ lawyers, the team is ranked for expertise across this ever-changing environment.
Due to the structure of the team, you will work closely with the Special Council who leads the London department, who is personally recognised within the L500. This individual has established a close-knit practice where they take career development seriously, where your growth and progression will be a genuine priority from day one.
The team advises on complex, often business-critical technology and outsourcing arrangements for an international client base that includes large multinationals (including Fortune 100 companies), mid-market corporates, high-growth tech and fintech businesses, and private equity-backed companies, as well as occasional public sector and regulated clients.
Their work is typically cross-border and sits at the heart of how these organisations operate. You will be involved in drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including software licences, data hosting and infrastructure arrangements, and large-scale IT services and outsourcing contracts.
The team regularly works across jurisdictions and sectors including technology, healthcare, energy, financial services, and retail. Advising on transactions that are both commercially significant and often complex in nature.
The Role
This is an opportunity for a solicitor with Commercial Contracts and a Technology focus to join a one-of-a-kind firm that has an impressive global footprint of clients. Providing you an opportunity to grow and develop within an award-winning, inclusive and collaborative department.
As part of the highly respected Technology Transactions and Sourcing team, you will advise on a broad range of complex commercial arrangements, including outsourcing, consulting, and reseller and distribution models (both direct and indirect). The work is varied and often cross-border in nature, sitting at the heart of clients’ strategic operational and technology needs.
You will build and develop client relationships with leading tech companies on complex, cross-border mandates, gaining exposure to prestigious cross-border transactions, protecting assets and driving businesses forward.
The role also offers the opportunity to advise on technology-focused matters, including end-to-end software services, cloud hosting, and software and end-user licensing, as well as collaboration and teaming agreements, website terms, and wider commercial intellectual property issues.
As an Associate, you will be a key member of a busy, high-performing, and collegiate team. You will work closely with partners on complex matters, play an active role in developing client relationships and collaborate across the firm's practice groups on multi-disciplinary transactions.

Requirements
- 3 – 6 years PQE (England & Wales) Solicitor with Commercial Contracts and Technology experience.
- An excellent academic record is desirable.
- Excellent drafting and legal research skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (including strong presentation skills).
- Ability to get on with clients, colleagues and support staff and work as a collaborative team player.
- Organised, responsible and able to work effectively in situations of high pressure.
