Senior Power BI Engineer

Unique opportunity to join a service group at a time of transformation working very closely with the Finance Team and reporting to the Head of Finance. You will be a talented analytics engineer with a minimum of 3 years experience and ready to take ownership of reporting, analytics and data management. This is initially a 6 month contract with a view to being extended. You will be responsible for:-

Responsibility of the Senior Power BI Engineer Role:-

• Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs using Power BI.
• Build and manage data models within Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and maintain Lakehouse and Data Lake solutions to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Create and optimise Dataflows for data ingestion, transformation, and preparation.
• Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical reporting solutions.
• Work closely with Finance teams to understand financial reporting requirements and data structures.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and business insights.

Requirements of the Senior Power BI Engineer Role:

• Advanced Power BI development experience
• Fabric Lakehouse and Fabric Dataflows
• Experience of creating dashboards
• Experience of integrating data from multiple systems
• Experience of working in finance teams and financial reporting
• Understanding budgeting, forecasting, KPI's, cost and revenue analysis
• Strong analytical problem solver
• Strong communicator, team player
