You'll collaborate with a global network of technologists to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions across channels and domains. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge authentication technologies while contributing to a firm entrusted with holding trillions in assets across more than 100 countriesJob responsibilitiesDesign and develop secure authentication and authorization solutions across customer-facing channels and enterprise platformsModernize identity and access management systems, including authentication and authorization frameworks aligned to open standardsEvaluate and prototype internal and vendor solutions for user authentication, including anti-fraud and biometric capabilitiesIntegrate APIs and SDKs for both niche authentication solutions and open standards such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAMLCollaborate with cross-functional and globally distributed engineering teams to deliver high-quality, business-valued outcomesDrive quality and efficiency across the software development lifecycle through strong engineering practices and code standardsContribute to technical direction by setting and modeling high standards for design, development, and testingLeverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standardsApplies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automations Required qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient applied experienceProficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, with strong preference for JavaExperience with application and data architecture principles, including design patterns and business process integrationFamiliarity with cloud-native development on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud PlatformAbility to work collaboratively across local and global teams, building relationships to achieve shared goalsFlexibility to work across multiple technology stacks and application environmentsHands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputsUnderstanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectationsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsExperience with modern authentication protocols and standards such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, or federated identity solutionsExposure to anti-fraud technologies or biometric authentication integrations within customer-facing applicationsExperience working in regulated financial services or similarly complex enterprise environmentsFamiliarity with identity and access management platforms or vendor solutionsKnowledge of API security best practices and SDK integration patternsJ.P.
