We are currently partnered with a leading developer of cutting-edge mobile technologies with applications across devices, networks, and services on a global scale.

The team is looking to expand their Wireless Research Group with a Principal Engineer for 6G standards research to take a leading role in driving innovative solutions for next-generation wireless systems and influencing global standards like 3GPP RAN, SA, and CT.

This is a permanent opportunity based in London, UK.

Key Responsibilities for this Principal Engineer position:

1. Lead cutting-edge research and standardization efforts for 6G technologies.
2. Develop intellectual property, create standards contributions, and publish research in your areas of expertise.
3. Represent the company in global forums, such as ETSI, ITU, and 3GPP, influencing key industry decisions.
4. Build strategic alliances with industry leaders, academia, and government bodies.
5. Deliver impactful presentations and author white papers to establish thought leadership in 6G.
6. Oversee interdisciplinary projects, ensuring alignment with business and technological objectives.

Key Requirements:

1. Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields, with 10+ years of experience in telecommunications research.
2. Proven ability to influence 3GPP standards and drive cross-functional research initiatives.
3. Track record of published papers, patents, or thought leadership in wireless networks.
4. Fluent English speaker with exceptional presentation skills for high-profile industry engagements.
5. Familiarity with European and international wireless ecosystems like ETSI, ITU-R, and HEU/H2020 is a plus.
