Senior Pricing Developer

Were working with a leading global insurer seeking an experienced Lead Development Specialist to join their technology team. This role is ideal for a senior developer who thrives on building modern insurance technology solutions and providing hands-on technical leadership.

As a Lead Development Specialist , youll be instrumental in designing, developing, and supporting core applications used across pricing, policy management, and integration layers. Youll work closely with Business, Actuarial, Architecture, and Infrastructure teams, ensuring technical excellence and alignment between business logic and actuarial models.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of high-quality insurance-based applications and system integrations.
• Provide hands-on coding expertise across C#, .NET Framework/Core, MVC , and Web APIs .
• Collaborate with business and actuarial teams to develop and maintain Rulebook-based pricing solutions .
• Produce technical specifications, ensure robust testing, and perform peer code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers (including offshore team members) and foster best practices.
• Drive innovation through evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies.
• Support production deployments, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain system reliability.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Strong experience in C# , ASP.NET , MVC , and MS SQL Server (T-SQL) .
• Proven track record in XML development and Web API/SOA architecture .
• Experience working with insurance pricing tools (ideally Rulebook or Hyperexponential) .
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Desirable:

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP .
• Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services or Python .
• Familiarity with SharePoint development and insurance/financial data models .
