Senior Business Analyst (Development)
Are you a confident, proactive Business Analyst with a passion for delivering impactful change in complex IT environments? Were looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our insurance client's dynamic development team.
Youll play a pivotal role in delivering digital transformation and change programmes across the organisation, collaborating with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors. From gathering and documenting business requirements to supporting user acceptance testing, youll be instrumental in ensuring successful delivery of IT solutions that bring real value to the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead detailed analysis of business requirements and translate them into clear documentation for development teams.
- Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding.
- Participate in end-to-end project delivery, from problem analysis and requirements gathering through to implementation and post-launch support.
- Support functional testing and UAT, ensuring solutions meet business expectations.
- Work with internal and external teams on system improvements, integrations, and new feature delivery.
- Champion best practices in business analysis and change management processes.
- Prepare and deliver training and support materials for new systems or processes.
What Youll Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, ideally within insurance, financial services, or regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Proven experience with transformation or digitisation projects.
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, translating complex requirements into clear and actionable plans.
- Solid experience with business application systems such as policy admin tools, rating engines, finance or ERP platforms.
- Working knowledge of SQL and APIs (e.g., Postman).
- Experience with tools such as Subscribe or Rulebook is a plus.
