We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of digital initiatives within the insurance sector, supporting the delivery of innovative digital products and platforms that drive business growth across international markets.
This is an exciting opportunity for a delivery-focused professional with strong insurance industry experience, particularly within the London Insurance Market, who has a proven track record of delivering complex digital transformation initiatives such as broker portals, e-trading platforms, and digital distribution solutions.
The role sits within a Strategic Portfolio Management function and will work closely with senior stakeholders across Digital, Technology, and the wider business to ensure successful delivery of multiple digital programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a portfolio of digital initiatives, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, quality, timelines, and budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including milestones, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor project performance and track key delivery metrics and KPIs.
- Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Lead regular project governance forums, status updates, and stakeholder reporting.
- Ensure delivery aligns with established project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Drive effective change management strategies to support organisational adoption.
- Foster a collaborative working environment across cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Facilitate effective communication across all project stakeholders.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
Project & Technical Expertise
- Demonstrated experience delivering digital insurance products and platforms (e.g., broker portals, e-trade platforms).
- Strong knowledge of project delivery frameworks, including Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, PRINCE2, or PMI/PMBOK.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Clarity, or similar platforms.
- Strong experience managing budgets, resources, and delivery timelines.
- Proven ability to manage risk, issues, and complex project dependencies.
- Understanding of change management approaches and experience driving organisational change.
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years delivering large-scale, complex projects.
- At least 3 yearsโ experience delivering digital products within the insurance sector.
- Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Working knowledge of the London Insurance Market is highly desirable.
