Temporary Technical Administrator
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Services Administrator to join a company in Dunstable, on a temporary contract until August 2026. Please note, for this role it is essential that ALL candidates have core Excel skills, to an intermediate to advance level.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08.30am - 17:30pm, and 08:00am to 16:30pm on Fridays. Once probation period it may be possible to work from home occasionally, one day per week is likely.

OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Administrator to support the technical and compliance functions of our organisation. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing technical documentation, coordinating administrative processes, and ensuring data accuracy across multiple systems. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, as the role involves data handling, reporting, and spreadsheet automation.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support to the team and customers via email, phone and in-person conversation.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, certificates, and compliance records.
- Assist with the preparation, formatting, and submission of product technical files and declarations. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers where necessary
- Monitor incoming documentation from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets for tracking product data, certification status, and supplier compliance. Use mid-level Excel functions (e.g. XLOOKUP, PivotTables, data validation) to analyse and present data.
- Support the technical team in generating reports and KPis from internal systems.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to collect and verify technical information.
- Assist in the administration of product approvals, audits, and regulatory submissions.
- Maintain version control of documents and manage digital filing systems.
- Handle confidential and time-sensitive information with discretion and accuracy.
- Distribute and issue solutions in a way that can be shared across the business.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- GCSEs including English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in an administrative role.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of basic document control practices.
- Proficiency in Excel (e.g. formulas, PivotTables, data validation).
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience within a technical, compliance, or product-based environment (Desirable).
