Community Account Manager - B2B Events
Community Account Manager - B2B Events Audience Acquisition
Remote (UK-based), with occasional travel to in-person events
Salary: Up to 40,000 + OTE
Our client is at a pivotal stage, evolving from a primarily events-led model to a membership and community business serving senior technology leaders.
They are looking for a Community Account Manager who can act as an ambassador for their flagship conferences and year-round community, combining relationship management with commercially focused delegate and membership sales.
This role sits at the intersection of community, sales and events.
You will build deep, one-to-one relationships with senior technology leaders, understand their challenges, and connect them to the right people, conversations and learning experiences across the ecosystem. You will be central to creating bespoke experiences before, during and after events, and will help shape how the community and product evolve over the coming years.
A bit more about the role: As Community Account Manager, you will:
- Drive delegate and membership sales through one-to-one outreach (calls, video meetings, LinkedIn, in-person), moving away from mass communications towards personalised engagement
- Conduct structured discovery conversations with senior leaders to understand their goals, challenges and priorities, and translate those into clear value propositions for events, memberships and learning products
- Personally host delegates at in-person events: welcoming key attendees, making targeted introductions, guiding them towards the most relevant sessions and helping them realise the value of their investment
- Work closely with the senior team to align outreach, messaging and targeting with overall event and community strategy
- Use LinkedIn, email, and a CRM to build and maintain high-quality data sets of prospects and members, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of outreach, pipeline and engagement
- Contribute to the refinement of event positioning by feeding back insights from conversations with members and prospects
- Support the creation and distribution of marketing and sales collateral that helps articulate value.
- Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly and annual KPIs across outreach, meetings booked, opportunities created and revenue generated
- Attend UK and occasional international events to support delivery, gather feedback and deepen relationships with current and future members
To be successful in this role you are
- Comfortable and confident with proactive outreach: you genuinely enjoy picking up the phone, sending thoughtful LinkedIn messages and starting conversations with senior leaders you have not met before
- A natural networker who is sociable, curious and genuinely interested in people; building and nurturing relationships is a core part of who you are
- Commercially driven, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales and/or engagement targets, and motivated by clear goals and measurable outcomes
- Skilled at consultative conversations: you ask good questions, listen carefully, and can frame events and memberships as solutions to specific business and leadership challenges
- Confident in communicating with senior stakeholders, with the gravitas and credibility to engage effectively at C-suite and VP level
- Organised and systematic in your approach to pipeline management, comfortable keeping CRM records accurate and working to structured KPIs
- Persistent and resilient: you see objections around budget, timing or priority as opportunities to better understand the buyer and refine the value narrative
- Collaborative and open, happy working closely with colleagues across events, marketing and operations in a small, fast-moving, remote team
- Interested in technology leadership and the challenges facing senior leaders in this space, and excited by the idea of helping them learn and connect
What is on offer
- A high-impact, visible role at the heart of a large global community of senior technology leaders, with direct influence on how events and products evolve
- Competitive base salary with uncapped commission linked to delegate and membership sales performance
- Structured onboarding, training and coaching on community-led sales, event positioning and the realities of modern technology leadership
- Genuine progression opportunities as the business grows, with potential to move into more senior roles across community, sales or partnerships
- Opportunities to attend and help host flagship events in the UK and internationally, building your own network of senior leaders
- A remote-first, flexible working culture that trusts you to manage your time and deliver outcomes, while staying closely connected to a small, supportive team
