Project Engineer

A growing engineering and technology business is looking to recruit a Project Engineer to support the delivery of complex engineering projects from concept through to build, testing and deployment.

This is a varied role combining hands-on engineering with project delivery responsibilities. You'll work across multidisciplinary teams, coordinating activities while remaining actively involved in solving technical challenges, supporting builds and driving projects forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering projects through build, integration, testing and commissioning
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical, controls and software teams
• Support prototype development, new product introduction and manufacturing programmes
• Lead problem-solving activities and technical investigations
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved
• Monitor project progress, risks and delivery timescales
• Support factory and customer acceptance activities where required

Ideal Background

• Degree/HND qualified in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Product Design or a related Engineering discipline
• Experience delivering engineering projects within manufacturing, automation, machinery, product development or similar environments
• Strong hands-on engineering and problem-solving capability
• Experience with testing, validation, commissioning or system integration activities
• Comfortable reading technical drawings, BOMs and engineering documentation
• Able to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
