Head of IT

We are seeking a dynamic Head of IT to join the leadership team and play a key role in shaping the future of our IT function. This critical position will lead the evolution of a small but capable IT team, transforming IT infrastructure to support the next phase of expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a technology strategy that aligns with the company’s vision and growth objectives.
  • Ensure reliable, secure, and future-ready IT infrastructure and architecture.
  • Lead IT project delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Manage IT incidents and risks to minimise disruption and protect operations.
  • Oversee sourcing decisions and build strategic vendor and partner relationships.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure IT systems support business needs.
  • Drive system integration and adoption of new technologies.
  • Implement and enforce IT policies, governance, and compliance standards.
  • Manage IT budgets with clear visibility and financial control.

Key Requirements

  • Proven senior IT leadership experience (IT Manager/Head of IT), ideally within a related industry.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, solution-focused, and entrepreneurial approach.
  • Track record of transforming IT functions into mature, service-oriented teams.
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and operating in multi-vendor environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to align IT strategy with business goals and lead major transformation initiatives.
  • Strong financial management skills, including IT budgeting and investment optimisation.
  • Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud, virtualisation, and enterprise architecture.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, compliance, and security best practices.
  • Experience in both infrastructure and application support, with a focus on business continuity.
