IT Technician

Role Overview

IT Technician responsible for maintaining a secure, stable technology environment across multiple sites.

Requirements: Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1st & 2nd Line Support: Provide fast, high-quality technical support and own issues to resolution.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage Exchange, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive.
  • Hardware & Security: Deploy and configure desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, ensuring secure Windows 11 environments.
  • IT Projects: Support digital improvement work, new technology rollouts, and process automation.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear technical and user-focused guides.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a 1st/2nd line support or IT Technician role.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 administration skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows 11 deployment, troubleshooting, and hardware support.
  • Clear, confident communication with users at all levels.
  • Logical problem-solving and commitment to service excellence.

Desirable

  • IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365, CompTIA).
  • Basic networking knowledge (routers, firewalls, access points).
  • Experience in care, charity, or similar environments.
  • Experience with mobile/MDM management (e.g., Intune).
