The Opportunity
We’re working with a large, well-established IT and technology services organisation that delivers complex solutions across corporate, education, and event environments. They’re looking to bring in a Technical AV Project Manager to lead the delivery of audio visual and collaboration projects end to end.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong AV knowledge who enjoys managing projects from concept through to completion while working closely with clients and technical teams.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of AV projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high technical standard. Acting as the main point of contact, you’ll manage stakeholders, coordinate technical teams, and ensure a smooth delivery across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, procurement, installation, and commissioning of AV systems
- Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring successful outcomes
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Manage budgets and resource allocation across project lifecycles
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, and subcontractors
- Maintain project schedules, identifying and mitigating risks where required
- Produce and manage project documentation including reports and handover packs
- Ensure all work meets industry standards and health and safety requirements
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering AV or technical infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of AV systems such as video conferencing, control systems, digital signage, and audio distribution
- Experience managing multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Experience working with AV vendors, integrators, or manufacturers
Desirable:
- PRINCE2 or similar project management qualification
- IOSH or health and safety certification
- Experience using Microsoft Project for planning and scheduling
- Familiarity with AV technologies and vendor certifications (e.g. Extron, Q-Sys, Biamp, Poly)
