Business Development Representative

This role is ideal for someone early in their sales journey who thrives on conversations, enjoys learning, and wants exposure to senior decision makers across enterprise environments.
The Opportunity
As a Business Development Representative, you'll play a key role in driving the next phase of growth. You'll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective enterprise customers, working closely with senior business development leaders to build a high quality sales pipeline.
What You'll Be Doing
- Identifying and qualifying new enterprise prospects within the software and technology space
- Generating interest through outbound calls, emails, and social outreach
- Researching target organisations to understand their technology landscape and challenges
- Engaging senior stakeholders and initiating meaningful, value-led conversations
- Booking high quality meetings for senior sales leaders
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and pipeline data
- Supporting the wider sales process with insight, research, and preparation
Responsibilities
- Build targeted prospect lists and outreach strategies
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads against defined criteria
- Nurture prospects who aren't yet sales ready
- Hit monthly and quarterly activity and meeting targets
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams
- Continuously develop product, market, and industry knowledge
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years' experience in business development or sales
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Comfortable picking up the phone and speaking with senior stakeholders
- Curious, resilient, and motivated to learn
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Desirable
- Exposure to B2B sales, lead generation, or SaaS / consulting environments
- Interest in technology, software development, or digital transformation
- Experience using CRM systems or sales tools
Role Details
- Contract: Permanent
- Salary: 40,000 base + Commission
- Structure: Hybrid working (with one office day per week)
