We’re supporting a FTSE250 company undergoing significant digital transformation in hiring a Senior SecOps Manager to lead and evolve its cyber security operations capability.

This is a business-critical leadership role where you’ll take ownership of the SecOps function, ensuring the organisation can effectively detect, respond to, and stay ahead of evolving cyber threats across a complex environment.

The Role

You’ll lead from the front, combining technical depth with strategic leadership to shape how security operations are delivered across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a high-performing SecOps team.
  • Owning and improving cyber incident response capability.
  • Managing and optimising third-party SOC and security partners.
  • Driving the vulnerability management programme across cloud, web and on-prem environments.
  • Leading proactive security initiatives such as threat hunting and BAS testing.
  • Embedding security into major technology programmes and projects.
  • Partnering with GRC teams to ensure strong, audit-ready controls.
  • Delivering clear reporting and KPIs to senior stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong background in Security Operations and Incident Management.
  • Proven experience leading teams, suppliers and complex security services.
  • Deep understanding of frameworks such as NIST, OWASP, ITIL and GDPR.
  • Experience managing high-severity cyber incidents end-to-end.
  • Ability to communicate complex security topics in clear business terms.
  • A confident, engaging leader who can influence across all levels of the organisation.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CEH are beneficial but not essential.
