Up to £70,000 plus bonus

I'm excited to be recruiting for a Senior Network Automation Engineer — a role that offers the chance to shape, automate, and modernise large-scale network environments within a forward-thinking technology team.

This is an opportunity to join a business that's investing heavily in automation, Infrastructure as Code, and next-generation networking. You'll play a hands-on, senior role in driving automation initiatives, improving network reliability, and helping the organisation mature its engineering practices.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced Network Engineer who's passionate about automation and has strong scripting capability. You should be comfortable working in complex environments and confident in contributing to the design, build, and deployment of automated network solutions.

Key experience:

Strong networking background (routing, switching, firewalls, WAN/LAN)

Scripting skills in any of the following: Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell

Experience working with Infrastructure as Code tools — ideally Terraform, but others considered

Understanding of modern automation workflows, CI/CD, APIs, and config management

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering and cloud teams

Passion for improving processes, reducing manual effort, and building repeatable, scalable solutions

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and implementing network automation solutions to streamline deployment and operations
  • Developing scripts and tooling to improve consistency, reliability, and performance
  • Using IaC to define, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure
  • Supporting network architecture decisions and contributing to technical roadmaps
  • Working closely with cloud, security, and platform teams to drive best practices
  • Helping evolve the organisation's automation maturity and engineering culture

Why This Role?

  • Join a team genuinely committed to modernising networking
  • Work with autonomy, influence decisions, and shape best practices
  • Opportunity to lead automation initiatives and work with the latest tools
  • A supportive environment with strong investment in engineering excellence

If you're a Network Engineer who loves automation, or a DevNet-style engineer ready for a new challenge, I'd love to hear from you.
