HRIS Manager

HRIS Manager

Birmingham or Crewe (office-based)

Working Pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week

7 Month FTC

The Role

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established operational business for an HRIS Manager to take ownership of their HR Information System and act as the technical bridge between HR, the wider Tech team, and their systems provider.

This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role suited to someone who genuinely enjoys getting into the details of HR systems, configuration, data integrity, reporting, and continuous improvement, rather than managing a team. You'll be the go-to person for HRIS troubleshooting, upgrades, and making sure the data behind the system is accurate, secure, and GDPR-compliant.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Owning the day-to-day relationship with the HRIS provider, working closely with the internal Tech team on system requirements and improvements
  • Continually looking for ways to make the HR systems more efficient, intuitive, and user-friendly, including managing upgrade rollouts
  • Working with stakeholders across the business to ensure employee data is accurate and well managed
  • Optimising the use of HR systems by linking technology, process, and people
  • Compiling HR data, reports, and records to support the wider business
  • Building out data analytics and dashboards in Power BI to support HR insight and decision-making
  • Ensuring the HRIS remains fully GDPR compliant
  • Leading an annual pension reassessment and pension restructuring premium calculation process

What We're Looking For

Knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Specialist knowledge of HRIS platforms
  • Good grasp of technical standards, systems analysis, and design techniques

Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confident communicator who can influence and motivate stakeholders across the business
  • A natural networker, comfortable building relationships with suppliers and internal teams alike

Experience

  • Previous hands-on technical project management experience with People XD or a similar HRIS platform is essential

No specific qualifications are required for this role, we're most interested in your hands-on HRIS experience.

Why Apply

This is a great opportunity for an HRIS specialist to take real ownership of a business-critical system, work closely with senior HR stakeholders, and shape how HR technology is used across a large, established organization, without the overhead of managing a team.
