A large public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Lead Solution Architect to drive digital transformation and shape technical architecture capabilities.

The Role

Report to the Head of Architecture, leading a team of Solution Architects and chairing the Digital Design Authority (DDA). You'll define enterprise-level solution architecture across diverse services, including Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and cloud-native tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Solution Architects across multiple Agile teams
• Develop and maintain strategic architecture frameworks and roadmaps
• Chair the DDA and govern architecture decisions
• Deliver scalable, secure solutions aligned with business needs
• Provide technical assurance of third-party designs
• Support governance, cyber resilience, and cloud optimisation
• Champion modern, product-based service delivery

Essential Requirements

• Proven solution architecture experience with a strong technical assurance track record
• Expert knowledge of Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and integration standards
• Experience with architectural governance boards
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influence at senior levels
• Understanding of TOGAF, ITIL, and security-by-design principles
• Passion for mentoring and building team capability
