Enterprise Architect
Cambridge | Hybrid£100k + benefits
We’re looking for an Enterprise Architect who can shape the future of a complex internal systems landscape covering Finance, ERP, People, Publishing, Supply Chain and wider back-office platforms.
If you enjoy working across strategy and delivery, influencing senior stakeholders, and guiding major transformation programmes, this is a role with genuine architectural ownership and long-term impact.
The Opportunity
As Enterprise Architect, you’ll define target architectures, create roadmaps, set standards and provide design leadership across a diverse estate of internal shared systems. You’ll partner with technology leaders and delivery teams to ensure major programmes move in the right direction, including a multi-year ERP transformation and S/4HANA migration.
This is a role for someone who can think at enterprise scale but also stay close enough to the action to support delivery in a pragmatic, hands-on way.
What You’ll Lead
- Target architecture and design for internal systems across Finance, HR, Operations and Supply Chain
- Architectural oversight of major programmes, including ERP / SAP-related change
- Roadmaps, design artefacts and standards that guide enterprise-wide technology evolution
- Cross-team collaboration, ensuring solutions integrate effectively across platforms
- Stakeholder engagement at senior levels, helping the organisation make confident technology decisions
- Risk identification, technology selection and architectural governance
What You’ll Bring
- Strong enterprise and solution architecture background
- Experience with ERP ecosystems (SAP or equivalent; S/4HANA exposure beneficial)
- Ability to bridge strategic thinking with practical delivery
- Excellent communication skills and credibility with senior stakeholders
- Experience designing and documenting architectures, roadmaps and solution designs
- Understanding of finance, HR or supply-chain processes
- A collaborative approach, low ego and strong cultural fit
Why This Role?
You’ll be driving architectural direction for systems that touch every part of the organisation. The work is impactful, high-visibility and central to how internal capabilities evolve over the next several years. You’ll join a friendly, grounded architecture team that values openness, collaboration and pragmatism.
Hybrid working with regular time in Cambridge, especially in early months to build relationships. If you want a role with influence, variety and serious transformation responsibility, we’d love to hear from you.
