Magento Technical Product Owner

Location: Brighton area (hybrid working – ideally 3 days in the office)

Are you a technically strong Adobe Magento expert ready to take ownership of multiple e-commerce platforms and shape their future growth?

Our client, a well-established and highly respected retail business, is seeking a Magento Technical Product Owner to lead the development, optimisation and strategic direction of three Adobe Magento e-commerce websites.

This is a hands-on, technically focused Product Owner role, ideally suited to someone with a strong Adobe Commerce / Magento 2 background - and a developer foundation would be highly advantageous.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Digital Solutions, the successful candidate will own the Magento product roadmap, ensuring the platforms are scalable, high-performing and aligned with commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full ownership of three Magento-based e-commerce sites
  • Platform configuration and optimisation (catalogue, search, checkout, performance)
  • Driving functional development and continuous improvement
  • Translating business needs into clear user stories and technical specifications
  • Working closely with developers, UX, QA and third-party partners
  • Monitoring site performance, conversion and operational KPIs
  • Ensuring security, GDPR and governance compliance

What You’ll Bring

Our client is looking for a technical Product Owner, not a purely commercial profile.

You will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within e-commerce
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Adobe Commerce / Magento 2
  • Solid technical understanding of Magento modules, APIs, integrations and extensions
  • Experience in multi-site environments
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira
  • The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable Adobe Magento specialist seeking real ownership and influence over a growing digital platform.
