Location: Hybrid – Cambridgeshire (c. 2 days onsite)

Salary: £70,000 – £78,000

Our client, a globally recognised organisation operating at scale, is seeking a Solution Architect to join their growing architecture function supporting a major digital transformation programme.

This role sits within a forward-thinking enterprise architecture team aligned to a key product group, working closely with technology leadership and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping strategy, defining roadmaps, and delivering modern, cloud-first solutions across a highly complex and evolving landscape.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on architecture role focused on designing and delivering scalable, secure, cloud-native platforms. You will be contributing to long-term transformation initiatives, including the development of SaaS-style platforms and modern event-driven systems in a global environment.

You will work across:

  • Enterprise-scale AWS cloud environments
  • Microservices, event-driven and headless architectures
  • High-performance, globally distributed platforms
  • Complex data ecosystems and integration patterns

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver end-to-end solution architectures aligned to business strategy
  • Collaborate with engineering, data, and product teams in a stream-aligned model
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps and long-term platform evolution
  • Ensure solutions meet requirements around scalability, security, and global delivery
  • Provide architectural guidance across multiple transformation initiatives

What They’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect within enterprise-scale environments
  • Strong AWS cloud expertise (essential)
  • Broad technical background across modern architectures (microservices, APIs, event-driven systems)
  • Experience working with diverse technology stacks (e.g. Java, data platforms, cloud-native tooling)
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
