Payroll Consultant

UK Payroll SME (Workday)

London / Remote

2–3 months contract - Immediate start or at short notice

£Flex daily rate Inside IR35

We’re looking for an experienced UK Payroll BAU SME to support a major client during a critical phase of their payroll operations.

This role needs someone confident working autonomously, with strong initiative, exceptional attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage senior stakeholders particularly across the US.

Key Requirements:

• 3–5 years’ experience in UK Payroll (BAU) using Workday
• Private Equity or high-ranking Financial Services background – ESSENTIAL
• Demonstrated US stakeholder management experience
• Proactive, “get up and go” attitude

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct UK Payroll Parallel Data Reviews, including HMRC calculator comparisons
• Perform Payroll Data Load Reviews (Payroll History, Payment Elections, Tax Codes, etc.)
• Support UK Payroll Configuration Reviews – SMP, Taxes, Post-payroll reporting
• Assist with ongoing BAU UK payroll processing for key entities
