The firm advises entrepreneurial businesses, high-growth companies and established SMEs, providing commercially focused legal support across a broad range of sectors.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Solicitor looking to combine high-quality commercial contracts work with specialist data protection and privacy advice within a modern and collaborative environment.The Opportunity:You will advise clients on a wide range of commercial and technology matters, working closely with business owners, leadership teams and in-house stakeholders. The role offers significant client contact, varied work and the opportunity to play an active part in the continued growth of the practice.Key Responsibilities:Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, including supply agreements, terms and conditions, agency and distribution agreements, introducer agreements and outsourcing arrangementsAdvising on SaaS agreements, software licences, technology contracts and wider commercial arrangementsProviding day-to-day advice on UK GDPR and UK data protection complianceDrafting privacy policies, data processing agreements and cookie policiesAdvising on data subject access requests (DSARs), international data transfers, controller and processor arrangements, electronic marketing and special category dataSupporting corporate transactions with commercial and data protection input where requiredBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships while contributing to business development initiativesCandidate Profile:Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with approximately 4-6 years’ PQE gained within private practice, an in-house legal team or a combination of both.You should demonstrate:Strong commercial contracts experienceExcellent working knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection lawExperience advising on technology and software agreementsStrong drafting, negotiation and communication skillsA commercial and pragmatic approach to problem-solvingThe ability to manage multiple matters and build trusted client relationshipsExperience of in-house legal work, client secondments, supporting corporate transactions or advising founders and business owners would be advantageous.The Firm:The firm offers a supportive, entrepreneurial and collaborative culture where Lawyers are encouraged to develop their own practice areas and build lasting client relationships.
