The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Business Analyst for a 6 month contract based in London with remote working available (hybrid) Purpose of the role: Seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to support the successful migration of approximately 10,000 mortgage accounts from one internal system to another. The role will focus on finance, data, and reporting, ensuring that the minimum set of data requirements is defined, mapped, and remediated to enable accurate servicing and regulatory compliance post-migration. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Asset Enablement, and CIO teams to confirm data requirements, map source-to-target data, identify gaps, and coordinate remediation and sourcing activities. What you'll do: Data Mapping:
- Confirm minimum data requirements for migration.
- Validate technology data sources with CIO teams.
- Complete source-to-target data mapping.
- Identify data gaps and quality issues, and document findings.
- Engage business system owners to agree remediation strategy or risk acceptance.
- Coordinate remediation activities in source systems to ensure data integrity.
- Support impact assessments for unresolved data issues.
- Liaise with CIO system owners to define data extraction approach.
- Coordinate secure and accurate data transfer from source systems to target platform.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory standards throughout the process.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in data migration or system integration projects.
- Strong understanding of mortgage products, finance processes, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Expertise in data analysis, data mapping, and data quality assessment.
- Ability to define and document minimum data requirements for operational and regulatory needs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including ability to engage technical and business teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage risks related to data gaps and remediation.
- Proficiency in working with source systems (e.g., Lynx, CRM) and target platforms.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance (e.g., IFRS, Basel reporting).
- Knowledge of ETL processes, SQL, or data extraction tools.
- Understanding of project management methodologies (Agile or Waterfall).
