Embedded Software Developer - Guitar Amplification

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is partnering with an established Guitar Amplification brand passionate about providing extensive technical research and development with the ultimate goal of allowing guitarists across the world to create the sound in their head. They are looking to hire a Embedded Software Developer. This is an exciting role part of a small team of 6 embedded software developers based out of their head office in the Northampton area. This is a hybrid role based out of their Northampton office with some flexibility to work remotely dependant on projects.

This is a perfect role for a Software Engineer who is passionate about guitars and music technology. The successful candidate’s primary role will be the development and maintenance of desktop applications and DAW plug-ins.you will develop and maintain desktop applications and DAW plug-ins. You will also contribute new features and enhancements to library code and propose and produce technical solutions to product managers specifications.

In your first few weeks in this C++ Software Developer role, you can expect to:

• Maintain, design and develop cross-platform C++ applications and DAW plug-ins
• Contribute new features and enhancements to library code
• Propose and produce technical solutions to product managers' specifications
• Devise, control and carry out pre-release test procedures for hardware and software products
• Collaborate to review code, fix bugs and improve the codebase.

To apply for this C++ Software Developer your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

• Familiarity with the JUCE framework and modern C++ techniques
• Application Development Architecture and UI Design
• Experience in Designing GUI Components
• Low level Programming Knowledge (working alongside Embedded Systems)
• Experience with Git and the command line.
