Role: Platform Engineer

Location: Remote

Role Overview:

We are hiring a Platform Engineer to build the internal developer platform

that powers every engineering team at Joveo. You will design the golden

paths — the tools, abstractions, and infrastructure primitives that let

product engineers focus on features, not operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain the internal developer platform including deployment tooling and service templates

- Own Kubernetes cluster management, service mesh configuration, and workload orchestration

- Define and enforce platform standards for observability, logging, and tracing

- Build self-service infrastructure tooling that reduces cognitive load on product engineers

- Manage platform reliability, capacity planning, and performance at scale

- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to embed controls into the platform

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Strong experience with Kubernetes in production environments

- Proficiency with platform tooling — Helm, ArgoCD, Crossplane, or Backstage

- Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure

- Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, or Consul)

- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python or Go

- Understanding of cloud-native patterns, GitOps, and platform engineering principles
