Apprentice Digital Engineering Technician
You will be using computer aided design software to produce drawings and construction models which will be used in the construction of steelwork used in buildings. Level 3 Apprenticeship.
Role
Day to day tasks will include:
- Working in a busy technical office as part of a team who undertake the full design, coordination and modelling process
- Preparing detailed designs for projects using 2D and 3D CAD
- Communicating designs to the design team and customers
- Preparing workshop drawings and CNC data for factory production
- Production of material take off lists
- Generation of TQ’s and RFI lists for the in house and external design teams
Training
- Engineering design and draughts person
Level 3 (A level) - BTEC in construction and the built environment
- Portfolio of competence
- End point assessment
- Blended on/off the job training and location to be confirmed
Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will have the chance to work as a qualified digital engineering technician, which in turn may lead on to office manager or other senior level roles within the organisation as the business grows.
