Hiring: VMware Virtualization Engineering POD Lead (Product Owner – Virtualization Platform)

Location : London ,UK

We are looking for a Senior VMware Infrastructure Leader to drive the strategy, engineering, and reliability of a large-scale enterprise virtualization platform within a global financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of VMware engineers within an engineering POD

• Define and drive the VMware platform vision, strategy, and lifecycle

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise VMware environments

• Drive automation and reliability improvements across infrastructure

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Applications, and Vendors

• Implement SRE best practices, monitoring, and platform resilience

Required Expertise

• 15+ years of IT experience with strong infrastructure engineering background

• Deep expertise in VMware technologies (vSphere, vCenter, vROPS, vRO, vRLI, vRLCM)

• Strong experience in automation using PowerCLI, Python, Ansible, or vRealize workflows

• Solid understanding of distributed systems, networking, storage, and high-availability architectures

• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills

• Experience working in large enterprise or financial services environments preferred
