Role Overview
The BMC Helix Technical Delivery Authority is responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery of BMC Helix solutions, ensuring architectural integrity, seamless system integrations, and alignment with enterprise business objectives. This role combines solution architecture, technical leadership, and delivery governance to successfully implement complex ITSM platforms on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Define, validate, and govern BMC Helix architecture, including ITSM Suite, Digital Workplace, CMDB, and Smart IT.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions using BMC Helix Innovation Studio and Business Workflows.
- Ensure alignment with ITIL best practices and enterprise architecture standards.
- Architect and implement integrations with third-party systems such as Active Directory, Orchestrators, Discovery, and Service Assurance tools.
- Configure and manage APIs, web services, and middleware to enable seamless data exchange.
- Oversee complex integrations including CMDB reconciliation, auto-ticketing, and identity management.
- Own technical delivery across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to delivery governance and quality frameworks.
- Conduct risk assessments, manage technical dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Govern customization vs. out-of-the-box configurations to minimize technical debt.
- Collaborate with PMO and stakeholders to define delivery plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Drive Agile execution models (Scrum, iterative releases) for BMC Helix implementations.
- Provide status reporting, stakeholder communication, and escalation management.
- Validate solution readiness through E2E testing, UAT, and go-live support.
- Implement monitoring, health checks, and performance optimization for ITSM and CMDB modules.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous process improvement.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in BMC Helix / Remedy ITSM architecture and delivery.
- Strong expertise in AR System, Atrium CMDB, Digital Workplace, Smart IT, and Smart Reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Service Request).
- Proven experience integrating BMC Helix with external platforms (AD, Orchestrators, Discovery tools).
- Solid understanding of API development, web services, and data migration strategies.
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
- Strong ability to manage multi-vendor environments and complex enterprise landscapes.
- Excellent technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
