Data Quality Manager – Data Management (Banking)

About the Role

Our client, a global leader in IT services and consulting, is seeking a Data Quality Manager to support a major UK banking programme. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across the UK business, enabling the bank to operate its services and controls effectively.

As part of the Data Management and Data Quality Management function, you will play a key role in embedding governance, enforcing standards, and driving improvements in data quality across critical business areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce and maintain the data quality governance framework across the UK business.
• Ensure data quality rules are defined and applied to address data risk across all key data domains.
• Perform root cause analysis of systemic data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Assess and report on thematic data quality issues across all active incidents impacting the bank.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Risk, Compliance, and Business Units to embed sustainable data quality practices.
• Provide subject matter expertise on data quality standards, controls, and monitoring.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong experience in data quality management, data governance, or data risk within financial services or another regulated industry.
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks, controls, and regulatory expectations.
• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and drive remediation of systemic issues.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
• Analytical mindset with experience in data quality monitoring, metrics, and reporting.
