We are recruiting on behalf of my client, a leading global technology services and consulting company, who are looking to engage an experienced Microsoft 365 Copilot Subject Matter Expert (SME).
This role will support a large, enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 tenant, providing senior-level operational support and playing a key role in the stability, optimisation, and adoption of M365 Copilot within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 3rd / 4th Line operational support for Microsoft 365 Copilot
- Triage and resolve complex, multi-user incidents, including access issues, usage problems, and unexpected Copilot behaviour
- Perform root cause analysis across:
- Microsoft 365 Admin Centre
- Entra ID (Azure AD) & Conditional Access
- SharePoint / OneDrive permissions
- Microsoft Teams (including Teams Voice)
- Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
- Aternity and related tooling
- Deliver policy and configuration changes, including mass deployments
- Monitor service health using observability tools such as ThousandEyes and Downdetector
- Produce audit-ready documentation and operational artefacts
- Run Copilot knowledge-sharing sessions for M365 application owners
- 5–8+ years’ experience supporting Microsoft 365 at enterprise scale
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Microsoft Copilot
- SharePoint / OneDrive permissions
- Entra ID & Conditional Access
- Experience working within regulated environments
- Mandatory: Microsoft Teams Voice experience
- Exposure to large-scale Copilot deployments (Free / M365), ideally within financial services
- Proficiency with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API for troubleshooting and reporting
- Hybrid working with a Sheffield base
