Senior Cloud Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, and DevOps engineering. In this role, you will contribute to building and operating a strategic platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) that supports next-generation digital services aligned with the organization’s long-term technology vision.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in GCP infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, service mesh technologies, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure as code, along with a strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) mindset focused on reliability, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities Cloud Platform Engineering- Architect, implement, and maintain highly resilient, scalable, and secure Kubernetes environments on GCP.
- Engineer and optimize Kubernetes infrastructure supporting multi-tenant workloads.
- Ensure strong resource isolation, operational scalability, and high availability across cloud environments.
- Manage and operate production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
- Implement service mesh technologies such as Istio or Anthos for secure service-to-service communication.
- Configure Istio telemetry, sidecar injection, and mTLS enforcement.
- Implement strong security controls including:
- OPA Gatekeeper policies
- Fine-grained RBAC
- mTLS encryption
- Secure service mesh configurations
- Apply least-privilege access principles and cloud security best practices.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines enabling automated build, testing, and deployment.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Automate platform provisioning and configuration using modern DevOps practices.
- Implement observability frameworks using tools such as:
- Prometheus
- Dynatrace
- OpenTelemetry
- Diagnose and resolve complex performance, networking, and automation issues.
- Optimize system performance and ensure platform reliability.
- Work closely with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
- Support the full lifecycle management of cloud-native services.
- Contribute to engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
