DevOps Engineering Tech Lead – Sheffield

Our client is looking for a talented DevOps Engineering Tech Lead to join their team in Sheffield. This is a hands-on leadership role, working with OpenShift, Ansible, Python, and container technologies to deliver scalable DevOps solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and manage OpenShift Container Platform Virtualization (OCPV) environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible.
• Write and maintain Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and integration tasks.
• Collaborate with DevOps, cloud, and application teams to deliver scalable and robust solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OCPV, Ansible playbooks, and Python automation.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with OpenShift Container Platform Virtualization (OCPV).
• Expertise in Ansible (playbooks, roles) and Ansible Tower.
• Strong Python programming skills for automation and scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems and networking.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
