Data Quality Analyst (Liverpool)

Data Quality Analyst | Location: Liverpool (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite) | Salary: £35,000 – £40,000

The Opportunity

As part of their continued investment in data and insight, they are seeking a Data Quality Analyst to support the development and implementation of best-in-class data governance & data quality practices. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the rollout and maintenance of the organisation’s data governance framework.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data ownership, data quality rules, and stewardship responsibilities.
  • Monitor and resolve data quality issues across systems, promoting consistency and integrity.
  • Maintain metadata repositories, data dictionaries, and documentation of data flows.
  • Contribute to data privacy and compliance initiatives, including GDPR.
  • Support the delivery of data literacy programmes and promote good data practices across departments.
  • Report on data governance KPIs and support continuous improvement efforts.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a data governance, data management, or data quality-focused role.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and data lifecycle management.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of GDPR or other data protection regulations.
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or data analysis tools such as Power BI or Excel.
  • Exposure to public sector data or working within regulated environments.
  • Awareness of industry frameworks such as DAMA DMBOK.

What’s On Offer
