The Role

This is a rare chance to lead a high-impact data science function within a rapidly scaling biotech. Youll be at the interface of internal R&D and external customer collaborations, helping shape the utility and evolution of novel omics technology. Youll build and mentor a team, drive scientific discovery, and directly influence product innovation.

• Lead, build, and mentor a growing team of data scientists
• Develop novel computational methods to harness unique multiomic datasets
• Collaborate with external partners to support scientific publications and joint projects
• Guide internal product development with experimental insights and analysis
• Work closely with early-access customers to support adoption and uncover new use cases

Your Experience

Youll be an experienced computational biologist or bioinformatician, ready to step into a leadership role with a strong technical foundation. You should thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and be excited about driving the future of omics-based discovery.

• Proven experience managing teams in computational biology or bioinformatics
• PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field with strong data analysis expertise
• Deep understanding of genomic data science methods (variant calling, GWAS, QTL mapping, etc.)
• Skilled in at least one scientific programming language (Python, R, or Julia)
• Strong collaborator with a track record of academic or industrial partnerships
• Bonus: experience with ML in genomics, cloud deployment, workflow platforms (Nextflow, DNAnexus), or publication as a lead author
