Location: Hybrid – London (2 days per week)
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000
Are you ready to take the lead in shaping a cutting-edge data function for a mission-driven organisation? We're working with a pioneering client in the social impact investment space that is looking for its first Data & Analytics Engineer to join their growing team.
This is a unique opportunity to design and implement an analytic data platform that will transform how the organisation uses data to drive decision-making and deliver meaningful impact. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in enabling data-driven insights across the business.

What you'll do:
- Build and maintain an analytic data platform and data pipelines to ensure reliable, accessible data.
- Design and implement data architecture and modelling, working closely with IT and AI specialists.
- Develop ingestion and integration pipelines from operational systems, APIs, and external feeds.
- Create transformation pipelines and publish cleaned datasets for analysts and self-service users.
- Support governance, data quality, and cost monitoring across the platform.
- Contribute to organisational training and documentation to foster a strong data culture.
What we're looking for:
- Deep knowledge of data engineering principles, including ETL/ELT, data modelling, and governance.
- Significant experience with cloud data infrastructure (ideally Azure/Fabric).
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Ability to leverage generative AI safely and effectively.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, collaborative approach.
- Passion for using data to drive positive change.
Desirable: Experience with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and AI technologies; familiarity with financial or investment data.
