Software EngineerManchester + Hybrid Work from HomeUp to £60,000 + BenefitsAbout the RoleOur client, an innovative industrial automation company, is looking for a Software Engineer with a strong focus on C++, Qt, and Linux to join their software development team. In this role, you will develop operating system components and service tools for Linux-based industrial systems, implement applications in C++ with Qt, and maintain the CI/CD pipeline while applying agile methodologies.What You'll Be DoingDeveloping, maintaining, and optimising operating system components, drivers, and service tools for industrial systems on Linux (x86/ARM)Implementing and extending applications using C++ with QtSupporting and improving the build and CI/CD pipeline (e.g. Jenkins or Azure DevOps)Managing regular security and feature updatesContributing to virtualisation and containerisation initiatives using Docker and KubernetesCollaborating with interdisciplinary, international teamsParticipating in agile ways of working (Scrum or SAFe), including documentation and code reviewsWhat We're Looking ForStrong hands-on experience with C++ and Qt in a Linux environmentFamiliarity with embedded or system-level development (x86/ARM)Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or Azure DevOpsExposure to Docker/Kubernetes and containerisation conceptsComfortable working in agile teams (Scrum/SAFe) within an international, cross-functional settingStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetDegree qualification in a related field - Computer Science etcThis is the chance to join an innovative, industry leader who offer clear paths for career progression and the chance to work within a friendly, technically challenging team focussed environment.Apply today with an up to date CV for immediate consideration.TPBN1_UKTJ
