Summary of Role Purpose:

The Platforms HR team is a community of technology focussed professionals who work together to deliver KPMG Powered Enterprise though a standardised delivery model, which drives professional delivery to clients. The teams use their functional knowledge and experience (e.g. Finance, HR, Procurement), coupled with their expertise in the cloud applications (e.g. Servicenow, Oracle, Workday, Coupa) to lead and deliver client programmes, support pre-sales activities and develop improvement and extensions to Powered Enterprise.

Description of the role:

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Developing end to end Oracle solutions using the best of good industry practise combined with understanding the optionality available within the product.
  • Lead the end to end delivery of workstreams, including managing offshore teams in the delivery of Oracle HCM Cloud transformations and business process change.
  • Leading client facing meetings and facilitation of workshops with larger groups of client teams
  • Lead an offshore team to design, configure and test a module or process area to successful deployment for a client
  • Develop lasting client relationships and actively building a network and range of experience to help address client needs
  • Be a role model to the wider team by showcasing our values and principles, leading from the front and by example.

Role dimensions

Leadership and Management: KPMG's HR Platforms Consulting team comprises over 50 team members. You will be responsible for managing projects ranging in length from several weeks to multiple years and leading diverse teams of up to 6 consultants supported by sub-contractors and members of the client’s own staff. You will deliver projects to agreed deadlines and budgets. The focus of this role is employing complex analysis to solve client problems in areas such as regulatory changes, disruptive technology, globalisation, changing customer needs, demographics and the environment and sustainability.

Stakeholder interaction and challenges: Your clients will normally be from the corporate world across all sectors. You may also work with public sector clients. The ability to develop strong client relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds and at all levels of seniority, including senior leaders, will be crucial. You will effectively communicate points of view and evidence that shapes client decision making. You will be required to regularly interact with Partners, Directors, and more junior colleagues within KPMG to source insight and expertise and to provide progress updates. You will also lead or support interactions with senior members of the client’s leadership team.

Impact, Risk, Accountability and Governance: This a high impact role. You will be responsible for developing robust problem-solving methodologies, structuring, and reviewing complex analysis, and delivering clear and effective deliverables. It is essential that you can work independently to clarify client issues and develop logical and implementable solutions to those issues, which are supported by robust analysis. You may be subject to additional background checks as part of a client’s due diligence

Experience Required

  • Experience of implementing at least one module of the Oracle HCM cloud platform as a workstream lead.
  • Background working as a Functional Consultant, advising and implementing business process changes within HR.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading client facing meetings and facilitation of workshops with larger groups of client teams
  • Been responsible for the end-to-end delivery of workstreams, including leading offshore teams to design, configure and test a module or process area to successful deployment for a client
  • Consultancy background with experience assisting in pre-sales and business development activities.
  • Comfortable with agile and waterfall methods of working
  • Excellent documentation, reporting and presentation skills
  • Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to provide clarity to complex issues, and synthesize large amounts of information
  • Experience in a functional and/or technical role in a business or systems delivery environment preferably in the HR sector
  • Experience producing project deliverables (business requirements, functional specs, configuration document, process flows, use cases, requirements traceability matrices etc.)
  • Ability to effectively transfer knowledge and flex the approach according to the situation
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and experience
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with varying team members
  • Strong functional knowledge of HR, Talent, Recruitment (incl. Onboarding), Payroll, Time Tracking or Case Management business applications an advantage
  • Experience as a configuration expert and/or project manager of enterprise software deployments
