SAP Data Migration Senior Manager
We are seeking experienced professionals with deep expertise in SAP data migration and governance to support large-scale SAP transformation programmes across complex enterprise landscapes. This is a high-impact role requiring strong client delivery capabilities, leadership in complex data workstreams, and contribution to business development initiatives.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Define and lead end-to-end SAP data migration strategies for S/4HANA transformations, covering data governance, migration, conversion, and integration across complex, multi-system landscapes.
- Lead data migration activities across core SAP solutions including SAP S/4HANA (Public Cloud), SAP MDG, SuccessFactors, Payroll, and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), ensuring alignment across interconnected business processes.
- Drive data-led transformations by designing scalable, automated, and secure data migration solutions that accelerate S/4HANA adoption (including Public Cloud) and broader enterprise modernisation.
- Lead data assessment, cleansing, harmonisation, and enrichment initiatives, ensuring high-quality, trusted data aligned to business objectives and global standards.
- Establish and implement robust data governance frameworks, including data ownership, stewardship, data quality controls, and security principles, leveraging SAP MDG where applicable.
- Design and execute data migration solutions using SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services, and other ETL/integration tools, ensuring scalability and repeatability across multi-wave programmes.
- Lead complex data conversion activities across SAP systems, including HR (SuccessFactors & Payroll), Supply Chain (EWM), and Master Data governance platforms (MDG).
- Drive cutover planning and execution from a data perspective, ensuring predictable outcomes through disciplined planning, reconciliation, and alignment with business timelines.
- Define and oversee reconciliation, validation, and audit processes to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and integrity across all systems in scope.
- Facilitate data design and migration workshops with business stakeholders, translating requirements into data models, mappings, and transformation rules across multiple functional domains.
- Collaborate closely with functional, integration, and technical teams to ensure alignment on data models, cross-system dependencies, and process integration points.
- Advise clients on data lifecycle strategies, including data archiving, legacy system decommissioning, and ongoing governance across SAP and adjacent systems.
- Lead and mentor global, multi-disciplinary data teams across onshore, nearshore, and offshore models to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Support business development initiatives, including shaping data migration solutions, contributing to proposals, and leading client discussions across SAP data transformation programmes.
The Person
- Strong work experience in SAP data migration, conversion, data governance, and integration, with a strong track record of delivering complex, global transformation programmes.
- Demonstrable experience leading data workstreams within SAP S/4HANA implementations, including Public Cloud deployments, across multi-country and multi-wave environments.
- Strong expertise in SAP data domains across Finance, Supply Chain, and Procurement, with working knowledge of SuccessFactors, Payroll, and EWM.
- Proven leadership in defining and executing end-to-end data migration strategies across interconnected SAP systems and third-party applications.
- Experience in facilitating data workshops and engaging with senior business stakeholders to drive decisions and resolve data issues.
- Hands-on experience with SAP data migration tools, including Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services, and related ETL/integration technologies.
- Strong expertise in data architecture, data modelling, data quality, and data security, ensuring scalable and compliant data frameworks.
- Experience producing high-quality artefacts such as Data Migration Strategy, Object Design Documents, Mapping Specifications, Data Quality Reports, and Cutover Runbooks.
- Strong understanding of cross-system data dependencies, particularly between S/4HANA, MDG, SuccessFactors, Payroll, and EWM, and their impact on migration and integration design.
- Proven ability to manage complex cutover activities from a data perspective, ensuring minimal business disruption and successful go-live outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence both business and IT leadership.
- Demonstrable experience leading and mentoring diverse, multinational teams across distributed delivery models.
- Experience supporting pre-sales and business development, including RFP responses, solution shaping, and estimation for SAP data migration initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex data challenges and deliver pragmatic, business-focused solutions.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments, particularly in emerging areas such as AI-enabled enterprise data transformation.
