As we continue evolving from a traditional manufacturer to a modern managed services provider, we are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Group Technical & Services Director to play a pivotal role in our transformation.
The Opportunity
This is a critical strategic leadership role reporting directly to the Managing Director/General Manager. You will own and drive multiple group‐wide functions including:
- Professional Services (Pre‐Sales, Technical Delivery, Client Success)
- Service Strategy & Design
- Internal Systems & IT
- Software Development
- Data & MI
- Vendor Management
- Business Transformation
- Group Marketing (independent from Sales)
This role blends CIO and CTO responsibilities with responsibility for designing, delivering and scaling our IT services proposition. You will help shape and accelerate Kyocera’s growth, innovation, and operational excellence across the UK Group.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Provide executive leadership across technology, services, transformation, and marketing.
- Drive alignment between technology strategy, service design, and business objectives.
- Ensure robust governance across internal IT, cyber security, service operations and systems.
Professional Services
- Lead Pre‐Sales, ensuring solutions are effectively scoped, governed and commercially strong.
- Oversee Technical Delivery and resource management to ensure seamless, high‐quality implementation.
- Grow the Client Success function, improving customer value, renewals and contract expansion.
Service Strategy & Design
- Own service governance frameworks, standards and performance measures.
- Lead internal systems, software development and IT operations to ensure stability, scalability and innovation.
- Shape and execute the Group’s Data Strategy, embedding data governance, insight capabilities and advanced analytics.
- Strengthen vendor and partner relationships to maximise value, commercial benefits and innovation.
Business Transformation
- Lead the Group’s transformation roadmap, supporting its evolution into a service‐led technology business.
- Drive cross‐functional change, digital enablement, automation and continuous improvement.
Marketing Leadership
- Co‐lead marketing strategy with the Head of Marketing, ensuring strong brand presence and demand generation.
- Align marketing with transformation goals and service‐led propositions.
About You
We are looking for a senior leader who brings:
Essential Experience
- Extensive leadership within professional services and/or technology‐centric environments.
- Strong commercial acumen – ideally with cost centre or full P&L ownership.
- Proven experience in IT, cyber security, cloud, ICT systems, and service delivery.
- Strong background in transformation, service management (ITIL), and operational governance.
- Experience working within MSP, ICT services or complex, customer‐centric organisations.
