Head of Sales
Main Goal
To lead the Annodata (part of Kyocera group UK) direct commercial sales team based in the north of England to achieve and overachieve revenues and gross profit targets, through managing, mentoring & coaching.
Ensure all existing and new sales opportunities maximise the entire portfolio of hardware
products, software and services.
Responsibilities/Tasks
- Provide effective leadership, directing staff and make decisions as appropriate to achieve all
individual and team objectives and overall Company Strategy.
- To drive specific new business activity across the sales team including the running of regular
“Deep Dives” on key accounts to maximise cross sell opportunities.
- The detailed analysis of the existing customer base to ensure all opportunities are maximised
- Ensure the team are maintaining and updating the CRM database (Salesforce) daily to maintain accuracy with their client’s details, their activities (email’s, calls and meeting) and all sales opportunities.
- Lead and be the role model for Kyocera Values and philosophy in the way that you work, ensuring
all people processes are performed professionally, fair, meaningfully and in a timely manner.
- Lead weekly meetings with your team for the purpose of reviewing their activity levels,
- opportunities, pipeline, and forecast, call via CRM.
- To ensure monthly meetings take place with your team members for the purpose of reviewing
- their pipeline, activities, and general communication.
- Coach, train and develop team members to maximise their sales performance
- Identify and develop high potential individuals within the team.
- Maintain the necessary confidentiality of all matters to the Company standards.
- Ensure prompt and satisfactory response and resolutions to all customer queries and complaints.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with staff, peers and senior management as
appropriate.
- Ensure all key performance indicators and competency levels are regularly monitored and that agreed actions are followed through.
- Plan, access and allocate resources (time, expenditure, hardware, personnel) to meet all agreed business objectives.
- Use judgement to assess balance of risk/gain and make decision based on information available.
- Negotiate effectively on behalf of Annodata both internally and externally defining areas of agreement/disagreement and developing alternatives to reach acceptable solutions with
- customers.
- Monitor KPI’s within the regional teams to ensure that Regional Sales Managers are driving sales executives forward towards achieving the set levels of activity and where appropriate, to investigate and make recommendations for performance management or improvements accordingly.
- Manage and collaborate with internal stakeholders to increase and maximise on productivity within sales
- To manage and review the annual budget/P&L and review how to maximise on profitability within the Private sector sales channel
- Sponsor key client engagement and build relationships with stakeholders to support the sales team.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- Previous experience of leading and motivating a successful sales team.
- This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines.
- Demonstratable previous experience within a direct commercial sales role is essential, prior knowledge of our industry would be advantageous.
- Experience and clear demonstratable understanding of MPS and Leasing is essential
- Proven sales management experience, strong people management and commercial awareness.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfortable working with senior managers
- Robust selling skills.
- Self-motivated and a team player
- Deadline driven/results-oriented
- Experiencing of using relationship management tools (CRM) and competent in using all MS office programs, Word, PowerPoint, Excel SharePoint, Teams etc.
- Building rapport with internal/ external customers- highly personable with relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
