The role 

\n

As a Product Consultant at Kainos, you’ll sit at the intersection of users, technology, and delivery, helping teams build the right things, in the right way, for the right reasons. 

\n

You’ll own product outcomes end to end - from early discovery through to live operation - shaping backlogs, driving MVP thinking, and ensuring value is delivered in fast-paced, agile environments. 

\n

You’ll be a confident leader within your team, comfortable facilitating workshops, running agile ceremonies, and navigating ambiguity with stakeholders to reach clarity and consensus. 

\n

You’ll also play an active role in our Product capability, contributing to initiatives, mentoring others, and helping shape how we deliver great product work across Kainos.

What you’ll be doing

• \nOwning and maturing team backlogs, taking features from inception through to delivery \n

\n\n

\n
• \nDriving MVP thinking, clearly communicating value to teams and stakeholders \n

\n\n

\n
• \nFacilitating workshops to align stakeholders and resolve uncertainty \n

\n\n

\n
• \nTranslating complex needs into clear, high-quality user stories \n

\n\n

\n
• \nManaging scope, dependencies, and priorities to deliver value within constraints \n

\n\n

\n
• \nBuilding trusted relationships across delivery teams and client organisations \n

\n\n

\n
• \nCoaching and developing colleagues, supporting performance and growth \n

\n\n

\n
• \nContributing to bids, proposals, and wider sales activity where needed \n

\n\n

What we’re looking for 

\n

\n
• \nExperience delivering bespoke software in agile teams for external clients \n

\n\n

\n
• \nHealthcare or UK public sector experience (essential) \n

\n\n

\n
• \nStrong understanding of the full software delivery lifecycle \n

\n\n

\n
• \nExcellent workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills \n

\n\n

\n
• \nConfidence challenging decisions constructively and adapting communication styles \n

\n\n

\n
• \nStrong backlog management, prioritisation, and MVP delivery experience \n

\n\n

\n
• \nHigh-quality user story writing and requirements elicitation skills \n

\n\n

\n
• \nExperience explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences \n

\n\n

\n
• \nFamiliarity with agile methodologies and a passion for mentoring others \n

\n\n

\n
• \nExperience supporting sales activity (bids, proposals) is a plus \n

\n\n
