We are looking for a Front End Developer to join our team.

Role Summary

As a Front End Developer at Kaplan, you’ll be part of a collaborative digital team focused on delivering high-quality, user centred web experiences. This role is ideal for an experienced front-end developer who combines strong technical capability with a passion for working closely with UX, design, content, and IT colleagues as well as third-party delivery partners. You’ll help shape scalable, well-governed digital solutions while ensuring strong alignment between technical delivery and business requirement.

What you’ll bring to the role

This role would suit someone confident in modern front-end development who enjoys working in a collaborative environment that prioritises quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

  • Strong experience with standards-compliant, semantic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (Vanilla).
  • Experience using front-end tooling such as Node, SASS, Browserify, and Gulp for local development.
  • Experience working with front-end frameworks and libraries such as jQuery, Bootstrap, and Material.
  • Experience integrating with APIs and working alongside back-end systems.
  • Experience working with pattern libraries or design systems (previous experience developing design systems is an advantage).
  • Experience working with .NET-based CMS platforms.
  • Experience developing for e-commerce platforms.
  • Working knowledge of performance optimisation, testing, and code quality best practices.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Experience using Git for version control and deployment.
  • Ability to scope development work and clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset, with a desire to innovate and introduce new ideas, tools, and technologies.
