Financial Controller
Kenny Recruit are working with a fast-growing technology solutions company with a current turnover of around £15 million — this is just the start. Delivering innovative tech solutions to a wide range of clients, and as the business scales, we’re looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function, ensuring the accuracy of the financial data, and providing insight to help drive the continued growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified or nearly qualified accountant who thrives in a growing business and enjoys getting stuck into the detail. You’ll oversee all day-to-day finance operations, ensuring numbers are correct, and playing a key role in reporting accurate and meaningful figures to the leadership team.
You’ll be both hands-on and strategic — someone who can manage the transactional finance activity while also helping shape financial processes and provide valuable commercial insight.
Pay: £55,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience) + benefits + performance-based bonus
Location: South West London. 3 days in the office required
Working hours: 9:00am - 5.00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all processes.
- Produce monthly management accounts, ensuring data integrity and insightful commentary.
- Lead on month-end, including balance sheet reconciliations and accruals/prepayments.
- Process invoices and assist with credit control.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, budgets, and variance analysis.
- VAT. Import/export – reverse charge and postponed VAT.
- Partner with the leadership team to provide financial insight, analysis, and recommendations that support business decisions.
- Assessing viability of funding options.
- Commissions and expenses management.
- Maintain and enhance financial controls, systems, and procedures to support growth.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and banks.
- Foreign exchange rate discrepancy management
- Reconciliation of Amazon sales
- Support implementation of new systems or process improvements as the company scales.
About You
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or close to qualification.
- Experience working in an SME or scale-up environment — comfortable working both strategically and hands-on.
- Strong technical accounting skills and commercial awareness.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of tasks end-to-end.
- Confident communicator who can present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Proficient in Excel; experience with Xero is an advantage.
- Proactive and adaptable — able to thrive in a growing, fast-moving business.
