CHIS IIU Data and Service Administrator
Job summary
Working within the Child Health Information Service to support Immunisation data collection from GP practices across Kent and Medway. To ensure data collected is timely, accurate and complete; in addition to supporting the provision of high-quality data to service management, executive team, NHS England, GP Practices and other service users.
The role incorporates aspects of administration, general admin support to ensure the day to day running of the service including developing strong collaborative working relationships between CHIS - IIU and colleagues in primary care and other service users.
Main duties of the job
System Administrators are responsible for the day to day operations of systems utilised by KCHFT. They have a greater understanding of the system, provide system support and ensure the system works efficiently.
System Administrators provide customer support to system users across KCHFT which include health professionals, managers and administrative colleagues. As such, professionals in this position have excellent customer service skills, an aptitude for learning new skills and are able to work on their own initiative.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification (e.g. 2 A/AS levels, NVQ level 3, BTEC diplomas, certificates and awards, international Baccalaureate diploma) or equivalent demonstrable experience
- NVQ Level 3 Business Administrator, Customer Service Specialist or Team Leader or Supervisor
Experience
- Administrative experience
- Experience of team working and versatility to take on a variety of tasks
- NHS administrative experience
- Experience of handling confidential information
- Supervision of staff
Knowledge
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Understanding of health and social care sector, including working knowledge of NHS structures, policies and processes
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills both on telephone and in person
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of people from different backgrounds at all levels of seniority
