IT System and Network Administrator

 THE ROLE This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll support and maintain IT systems and networks to ensure performance, security, and reliability. You'll also play a key part in IT projects such as upgrades, migrations, and new deployments. Key responsibilities include:
  • Configuring and troubleshooting LAN/WAN, VPNs, switches, routers, and wireless networks
  • Providing both remote and on-site user support across multiple sites
  • Managing system updates, patching, and performance monitoring
  • Supporting infrastructure projects and collaborating with third-party suppliers
  • Maintaining accurate documentation for systems and configurations
This role requires regular travel to other company sites, with occasional short-notice visits when urgent issues arise.  ABOUT YOU We're looking for someone with:
  • At least 3 years' experience in IT systems and network administration
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • Good understanding of networking, routing, and switching protocols
  • A full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication
Desirable:
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
  • Experience with scripting, automation, or ticketing systems
