ABOUT THE ROLE
For more than 30 years, the company's software has delivered an exceptional track record of reliability, with no customer ever experiencing a full day of disruption or outage. This is underpinned by a rigorous and uncompromising approach to Quality Assurance, ensuring every release is thoroughly tested before reaching customers.
To support continued growth, we are recruiting a QA Engineer to join a close-knit Quality Assurance team of around five people. This is a brand-new position, created to strengthen the QA function as the wider engineering team continues to expand.
You'll work closely with a team of approximately 10 Software Engineers within a modern QA environment that combines both manual and automated testing.
The primary focus of this role will be to further enhance the company's automation testing capability, making a strong background in test automation essential. We're looking for someone with hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites using Cypress and TypeScript, while also being comfortable carrying out manual testing where required. You'll be passionate about software quality, enjoy collaborating closely with developers, and take pride in delivering reliable, thoroughly tested software.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- 3+ years' commercial experience within Software Testing / Quality Assurance
- Experience testing SaaS products or enterprise software (Financial Services experience would be advantageous)
- Hands-on experience building automation frameworks using Cypress and TypeScript
- Strong manual testing experience, including Regression, Exploratory, User Acceptance (UAT) and End-to-End (E2E) testing
- Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing within modern development environments
- A proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to take ownership of testing initiatives
- ISTQB certification (desirable)
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
This role is primarily remote, giving you the flexibility to work from home while remaining closely connected to the wider team. Approximately once per quarter, you'll be invited to attend a company Town Hall in Bath, bringing colleagues together to celebrate successes, reflect on challenges, and share plans for the months ahead.
These events are highly interactive and include lunch, team-building activities, and optional evening social events for those who wish to stay.
