About the role

We are hiring an AI Product Engineer to join a fast-moving team building and deploying AI-powered products that solve genuine workflow challenges. This is not a pure research role and not a generic software engineering hire. The focus is on turning applied AI into reliable, user-facing features that drive adoption, retention, and measurable business value.

You will work at the intersection of product, engineering, and applied AI, helping leading organisations in London deliver production-ready AI capabilities rather than internal prototypes or demo environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and launch AI-powered product features for real users in production
• Work across product and engineering teams to identify high-value workflow problems suitable for AI solutions
• Develop and improve LLM-based systems using approaches such as RAG, orchestration, prompt pipelines, and evaluation frameworks
• Build scalable backend APIs and frontend product experiences to support AI feature delivery
• Monitor feature performance, reliability, usage, and user outcomes post-launch
• Contribute to product experimentation, iteration, and continuous improvement based on user behaviour and feedback
• Ensure AI systems are robust, maintainable, and aligned with business and product goals

Requirements

• Proven experience shipping LLM-powered features into production environments
• Strong software engineering background with TypeScript, React, and backend API development
• Hands-on experience with RAG architectures, orchestration frameworks, evals, and real-world AI workflows
• Strong product mindset with the ability to connect technical delivery to usage, retention, and customer value
• Ability to clearly explain what you have built, why it mattered, and how users adopted it
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams delivering end-to-end product outcomes
