Information Governance and Data Management Assistant
An immediate start possible for ideally a Full Time hours position (but will consider 3 or 4 days)
The role is in the IT and Data Management Team, with a focus on Information Governance and Data Management support.
The main purpose of this role is to support the implementation of Information Governance and the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT), alongside routine data management and general administrative activities (including minute taking). Appropriate training will be provided on internal systems and processes.
Core duties include:
• Supporting the ongoing implementation of Information Governance and the NHS DSPT within the unit.
• Assisting with the planning and submission of the yearly DSPT assessment.
• Preparing, reviewing and maintaining IG/DSPT documentation and folders.
• Supporting the PCTU IG Lead and liaising with various stakeholders on IG/DSPT/DM activities.
• Supporting the Data Management team with user account management, document review, organising meetings and taking minutes.
• Monitoring the DM helpdesk and providing end user support as needed.
• Ensuring ongoing compliance with internal procedures, college policies, and applicable regulatory and data security requirements (e.g. GCP, GDPR, DSPT).
We are looking for candidates with skills and experience in areas such as:
• Information Governance frameworks (including NHS DSPT) and data protection (GDPR, DPA).
• Clinical data management and working with databases or data capture systems.
• Working with confidential/sensitive data in healthcare or research settings.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, including document control, filing systems and accurate minute taking.
• Good IT skills (e.g. MS Office, shared drives, basic database or data entry/QA tasks).
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate records.
